You know, when you live in Canada and you’re about to travel to Arizona to do a couple of shows, you get a little excited. It’s fun packing when you’re dealing with skirts and bathing suits and sun hats. So it’s, shall we say; disconcerting, when you get there and end up in the middle of a hail storm. Holy geez. Only us. Rain, snow, sleet, hail, and wind, cold cold wind. But I mean it when I say that the people we met made up for the weather with an abundance of warmth. I don’t think we’ve worked with lovelier folk than at the theatres in Tucson and Wickenberg. The audiences were absolutely wonderful. Even the woman behind the counter at the local “K” store at midnight just about invited us home for a turkey dinner. And I also have to give special mention to the Rancho de los Caballeros Resort in Wickenberg. While we couldn’t take advantage of the golf or horses because of the glacial winds, we cozied down big time in the adobe cottages, and ate like hungry little dogies by the fire. This was a crazy trip, and we loved it. I’m sorry I can’t share pics yet, I’m having trouble downloading them. Or uploading them. I’m having trouble loading them. (Kathy)
